New Year, New Blog

Having just been reunited after a long three months, we were very excited to be able to celebrate the new year together in the French Alps. For the first time ever, we’ve taken different paths – one of us on a gap year and working in London, the other studying History of Art at Cambridge University. Throughout our school years, we shared a passion and deep interest in aesthetics, style and fashion, alongside an interest in art, culture and travel. While retaining our individual styles, we have inspired one another in our looks and experimental approach to fashion. Through our blog, we hope to share our ideas, and express our love of style that we have cultivated together throughout our friendship.

To cure our slightly heavy heads and 2016 blues, we booked in for a cosy lunch at La Reserve, Avoriaz.

Inspired by our surroundings and the chalet aesthetic, we both opted for a beige coat or jacket, and a touch of faux fur, both of which we picked up from the local shops in Morzine.

The setting sun made for a scenic walk back down the mountain, and a fab opportunity to show off our new sunglasses.

Whilst in Barcelona (blog post coming soon!) we came across visionario sunglasses, an up-and-coming Spanish brand with relatively inexpensive price tags – which proved a must-have for two travelling students. Find Annie’s glasses here.

We paired our jacket/coat with a monochrome bottom half – grey or white snow boots, and  white corduroy or tartan trousers.

We finished our afternoon with a cup of tea and some delicious home-made chocolate flapjacks by the fire. A warm and relaxing start to 2017.
